When you are making your favourite recipes, simply take the root from your freezer and break off the amount that you need. Wait for one minute and peel the piece of ginger you are using for the recipe. Using a manual shredder, place the frozen segment in, it and shred it. It is as good as using fresh ginger straight from the market! You can refreeze the un-used parts of ginger for your next recipe.
